    The 2025 Internal Medicine Chief Resident Masterclass was nothing short of transformative. Nineteen incoming Chief Residents from eight premier Florida IM programs came together for an intensive day of leadership development, hands-on training, and collaborative innovation that would forever change how they approach their roles.

    This groundbreaking event delivered world-class training across five critical domains: leadership essentials with Dr. Janelis Gonzalez from University of Miami, effective teaching strategies with Dr. Nikesh Kapadia from University of South Florida, GME navigation mastery, cutting-edge simulation and POCUS training with rotating expert-led labs, and wellness strategies for sustainable leadership. But the most powerful moment came when 100% of attendees expressed unanimous enthusiasm for forming an ongoing alliance—a testament to the extraordinary connections and shared vision that emerged from this collaborative experience. The Masterclass didn't just train future leaders; it ignited a movement that would become the Internal Medicine Chief Resident Alliance, proving that when exceptional minds unite with common purpose, they can reshape the future of academic medicine.
